Rural Collaboration
For people who build partnerships, coordinate services, and lead collaborative work in rural communities.
When
First Thursday
Some questions are easier to work through with people who have faced them too.
Communities of Care brings together people with similar roles and responsibilities to ask questions and compare how they handle similar situations.
Free to join · Online · One hour each month · Facilitated by HRW
We host four circles, each for a different kind of role. Every circle meets online on one Thursday a month, from noon to 1 PM Eastern.
For people who build partnerships, coordinate services, and lead collaborative work in rural communities.
First Thursday
For peer navigators, recovery coaches, and others who help people find services, navigate systems, and move toward recovery.
Second Thursday
For nonprofit executive directors who work alone or with a very small team.
Third Thursday
For people who lead meetings, workshops, trainings, and group conversations and want to strengthen their practice.
Fourth Thursday
The people who attend decide what each conversation covers, starting with the questions and experiences they bring.
You can bring a question, a situation you're working through, or something you've learned that might help someone else. You're also welcome to come and listen.
An HRW facilitator guides the conversation, helps people explore their questions, and invites people with different experiences and perspectives to contribute.
You might leave with a new idea, a resource, a different way to approach a situation, or a connection with someone you'd like to keep talking to.
You don't need to prepare anything before attending.
We believe people have a lot to learn from one another, especially when they can talk openly about the jobs they do.
Everyone who attends brings experience that others can use, and the peers you meet in a circle are people you can turn to later.
“People underestimate the power of connection in people's ability to get things done.”

Know someone who might benefit from these conversations? Share this page with them.
If a group of people in similar roles would benefit from regular conversations, tell us who they are and what they might want to talk about.
Organizations and funders can help us keep these conversations free and accessible. If you're interested in supporting a circle or helping us reach more people, we'd welcome a conversation.
